HOLLY PLEASANT
(«««««) Congratulations to Holly for her "Country Music Showdown" area win. Holly has completed her first CD of which has already been critiqued by the NCMN staff. Viewed as excellent, her vocal recording is right on the money. Holly has a powerful voice and sure can belt a fine heartfelt song. Her contemporary country voice tones are mixed with a flavor from the past when singing old standards such as "Your Cheating Heart ." Look to hear more from Holly as time goes on.

CHARLIE FLOWERS AND THE HARVESTERS Well it looks as if Charlie Flowers has a "Tiger by the Tail." In a little store front just off the main drag we found Charlie singing his heart out to a great bunch of fans, many of which had followed him from Wilson, NC. It speaks well of an artist when their fans follow their performances. Rocking to the beat of traditional country hits, Charlie can also wind it down to a slow southern whine from the past -- "Borrowed Angel." Charlie's been kicking around these parts for a good while. Teaching is his day job, but any way you want to squirrel it up Charlie's got it all.
